Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 August 2026

This policy explains what happens to the information you give us when you book a table at TAAAMPOPO online. It covers the reservation pages on this site and nothing else — if you visit our main website or our social media, those are described separately.

The business responsible for your information is SizzleCraft Hospitality LLP, which operates TAAAMPOPO at Taampopo, Row House No. 2, Surya Residency, Pancard Club Rd, Baner, Pune, Maharashtra 411045.

What we collect

What you type in

  • Your name, so we know whose table it is.
  • Your mobile number, to confirm the booking and to reach you if something changes on the day.
  • Your email address, to send your confirmation and your reservation link.
  • Any special request you choose to add — a birthday, a seating preference, an allergy. This box is optional and free-form. If you tell us about an allergy or a dietary need, you are giving us health-related information, and we use it only to serve you safely at your table.

What the booking itself creates

  • The date, sitting time and number of guests you chose.
  • The table assigned to you and your booking code.
  • The cover charge that applied and whether it was paid.

Payment information

Payments are handled by Razorpay, not by us. Your card number, UPI ID, netbanking credentials and CVV are entered on Razorpay's own secure checkout and never reach our servers. We are not able to see them at any point.

What we do store is the reference Razorpay gives back: an order ID, a payment ID, a verification signature, the amount, and a copy of the gateway's response — which may record the payment method used (for example "UPI" or "card"), but not the underlying details.

Technical information

  • Your IP address, recorded briefly so that one visitor cannot flood the booking system with automated requests.
  • A single session cookie named TAAMPOPO_SESS. It carries no personal information and exists only to protect the booking form against forged submissions. It expires when you close your browser.
  • A copy of each confirmation message we send you — the email, WhatsApp or SMS text, and the number it went to — so our staff can see what you actually received if you call about it.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or pixels on the reservation pages.
  • We do not ask you to create an account, and we hold no password for you.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anybody.
  • We do not send you marketing unless you have asked for it. Booking a table does not sign you up for anything — offers go only to people who ticked the box, and you can stop them at any time.

Offers on WhatsApp

If — and only if — you ticked the box asking for them, we may send you occasional offers and event news on WhatsApp. It is entirely separate from your booking: your reservation and its confirmation work exactly the same whether you ticked it or not, and we never add you because you booked a table.

To stop them, reply STOP to any of those messages. That takes effect immediately and without anybody having to read it. You can also ask us in person or by email and we will do it for you. Once you have opted out we will not add you back unless you ask us to.

Stopping offers does not affect messages about a reservation you have made — those are part of the booking you asked for, and they carry on.

We keep a record of when you agreed, how you agreed, and when you opted out, because we have to be able to show that we only messaged people who asked to be messaged.

Why we use it

We use what you give us to hold your table, to send you your confirmation and reservation link, to collect and verify the cover charge where one applies, to contact you about your booking, and to keep the accounting records the law requires us to keep — and, where you have asked for them, to send you the offers described above. We do not use it for anything else.

Who else sees it

Only the services that make the booking work:

  • Razorpay — to take and verify the cover charge. Razorpay receives your name, email and mobile number so it can process and receipt the payment.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — if you receive your confirmation on WhatsApp, your mobile number and the booking details in the message pass through Meta's WhatsApp Business service.
  • Our email provider — to deliver your confirmation email.
  • Our web host — which stores the database this site runs on.

Beyond these, we share your information only if the law requires it of us.

Your reservation link

Your confirmation contains a private link to your reservation. It is protected by a long random code that cannot be guessed, and it is not listed anywhere or indexed by search engines.

But it needs no password — so anyone you forward the link to can see the booking. Share it only with people in your party.

How long we keep it

  • Reservation and payment records are kept while your booking is live and afterwards as part of our accounting records, for as long as Indian tax and company law requires.
  • Message logs — the copies of confirmations sent to you — are kept for a short period while they are useful for answering queries, then removed.
  • IP records used for flood protection are discarded shortly after they are recorded; they exist for minutes, not months.

How we protect it

  • The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
  • Payment verification is cryptographically signed, so a payment result cannot be faked.
  • Access to the booking records is limited to our own staff, through a password-protected admin area.

No system can promise perfect security, but we take these measures seriously and keep the software up to date.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
  • withdraw your consent to us holding it.

Write to us using the details below and we will respond. There is no charge for asking. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you may raise it with the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

The booking system is meant for adults making a reservation. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we ask that bookings be made by someone aged 18 or over. Children are of course welcome to dine with you.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and move the date at the top. The version published here is always the one that applies.
